Dan A. Atkerson has over 27 years of legal experience as a practicing attorney in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1984 and is permitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Texas as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Atkerson's areas of practice include personal injury, medical malpractice, auto accidents, wrongful death, labor and employment law, employment discrimination (age, race, sex and religious discrimination), wrongful termination, sexual harassment, and general civil practice.

Mr. Atkerson was born in Carthage, Texas in 1959. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1981. He thereafter attended law school at Texas Tech University where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the award-winning Texas Tech Law Review, a legal journal devoted to review of current legal topics. He received several awards for his published articles and editing while serving on the Law Review. Mr. Atkerson received his Doctor of Jurisprudence law degree and Masters Degree in Business Administration from Texas Tech University in 1984.

After graduation from law school, Mr. Atkerson moved to the Dallas area and has devoted his entire career to private civil practice, working for national and private firms and then starting his own law firm several years ago.
